Two Messages Of Easter Crafts

Easter is a very special celebration marked on the Christian calendar. It is the day in which Christians celebrate their faith by remembering the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In addition, it is a day that has been blended with other customs and traditions to represent past festivals. Therefore, when thinking about Easter crafts, the individual can follow either of those themes or meanings. Specifically, Easter crafts can either take on a spiritual meaning or non-spiritual meaning.

Spiritual Meaning

There are many spiritual meanings associated with the celebration of Easter. Some of those spiritual meanings include the power of life over death, good over evil, light over darkness, victory over defeat, etc.

To capture these specific spiritual meanings Easter crafts can be created. As examples, some Easter crafts could depict the cross. This depiction of the primary symbol of Christian faith could be made from stained glass.

In addition an Easter craft that is suitable for a child is the taking of a picture of Jesus and framing it with crafting sticks. These sticks can be held together using glue. Then once the glue has dried, the individual can loop a colorful piece of yarn at the top that can serve as the hangar so the picture so the craft can be hung. The child then has a framed picture of Jesus that they can put in their room and be inspired through the picture and knowing that they created this Easter craft themselves.

Another simple Easter craft that can be done by a child is to create a greeting card. This card can be especially meaningful as the child draws their own picture on the front that depicts their interpretation of the Easter story. After completing the picture and the message inside they then can present it to their parent, grandparent or person of their choice. This type of Easter craft can not only be meaningful to the young child who has created the greeting card, but to the individual whom the card is presented to.

Nonspiritual Meaning

In addition, because of the other stories and figures surrounding the celebration of Easter, there are other Easter crafts that can be created.

These Easter crafts for kids can have a non-spiritual meaning. Suggestions of some of these types of Easter crafts could include the creation of an Easter basket in which the basket can be filled with green grass and plastic Easter eggs. The simplicity of Easter baskets can be made with construction paper that is interwoven. In addition, different colors of construction paper can be used to create an even more colorful and festive craft.
